Schools Using imabi Inspire: Discover How Our Platform Has Helped ACS Cobham International School
At imabi, a key aspect of our mission is to safeguard the next generation by tackling inappropriate behaviours and giving students a voice.
We’re exploring how ACS Cobham International School is doing just that, with the help of our platform dedicated to young people in education settings: imabi Inspire.
Why Are UK Schools Using imabi Inspire?
As technology continues to advance, schools throughout the UK are adopting digital solutions to improve pupil safeguarding.
Specifically, many are utilising our innovative platform, imabi Inspire, with more than 20,000 students currently benefiting from it.
One of the settings to have recently introduced our safeguarding platform is ACS Cobham International School; the move has received an “exceptional response” from students so far.

Based in Cobham, the school is home to 1,300 students aged 2 to 18. Representing over 80 nationalities, the students are taught by 300 expert teachers and staff members.
Standing at the forefront of student safeguarding by integrating imabi Inspire into their policies and practices, ACS Cobham is prioritising safety and security by offering a platform for both named and anonymous reporting, feedback via surveys, targeted guidance, and access to essential school information.
The initiative reflects a broader trend among UK schools to leverage technology for enhanced student safety, and the response from their students has been overwhelmingly positive.
Molly John, Year 7 Head of Year and an English teacher, shared, “Our school’s policy is detailed and robust, with every staff member responsible for protecting students. imabi Inspire is specifically included in our safeguarding policy and has become an essential tool to support students.”
What Do Staff and Parents Think?
Since the launch of imabi Inspire, ACS Cobham has seen significant engagement from its student body. Within months, the platform has enabled the school to address incidents swiftly and effectively.
Alexa Sabanegh, the parent of a child attending ACS Cobham, praised the initiative: “ACS takes the safeguarding of children very seriously. The imabi app is a valuable tool that gives children a safe way to report concerns. It certainly puts me more at ease knowing my children can report anything they’re feeling unsafe about.”
Darren Sheldrake, Middle School Principal, highlighted the importance of student feedback in shaping the platform’s deployment: “We worked with a student group to fine-tune the platform before launch, ensuring it met their needs. The anonymous reporting feature has been particularly well-received, encouraging students to come forward without fear of repercussions. It’s allowing our students to take away that stigma of ‘someone’s going to get in trouble’, but actually they’re just reaching out to help someone.”
The platform’s impact was immediate, as Darren added, “We launched at midday and by 2 o’clock, we’d had our first disclosure via the platform.”
Naomi Vibrati, School Counsellor and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, emphasised the platform’s role in improving communication: “In my role as a counsellor, students do come and speak to me, but sometimes that’s still difficult for someone to reach out and say something’s going on. But this just gives them a voice and an accessible way of reaching out to an adult. When I came to the school, I was amazed there was an opportunity to flag up, sometimes even areas in schools, where they saw something was happening.”
